This doll is named Susie, she is approx 17" tall. Susie has been sewn so that she can be placed in a sitting position if required. Susie is a bit of a punk with her bright pink hair. Her dress is retro in a bold black and white vintage material. Dress is embellished with purple and pink velvet ribbons with crochet edging. Susie has purple felt boots and her personalised bead necklace. Not suitable for babies and small children.

Recently retired I was looking for a craft to enjoy, I discovered rag doll making and now it is somewhat of an obsession! I love searching for vintage and unusual fabrics and trimmings.

I machine sew the bodies for strength and then settle on my sofa for the relaxing hand sewing. No doll is the same and are they are named as I like the individuality.
