I have always wanted to make toys for children, but the strict regulations for safety were holding me back. A year ago I decided to bite the bullet and set about finding materials with the correct certificates. I made my prototypes and tortured and tested them as required until I was satisfied that they met the guidelines set out for them to be able to be labelled with the CE mark.
I now have a little group of hand knitted toys that are certified as safe from birth.
They are:-
Tweet the Bird - a Robin, a Bluebird and a Budgie (I have a Penguin in mind for next year).
Rainbow the Dragon
Gilbert - a large teddy, more of a traditional style
George and Georgina - smaller colourful character teddies
Jumbo - a simple design little elephant, ideal for babies and in many different colours.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

This listing is for a hand knitted Robin, one of my CE marked toys, suitable from birth. They are knitted in colourful acrylic yarns made by Stylecraft.
The colourful birds make a great gift for a baby, toddler or young child. They can even be used as a Christmas decoration.
There are three styles - a Robin, a Bluebird, and a green Budgie.
The yarn, stuffing, and even the sewn in cloth label all pass the strict regulations that make them able to carry the CE mark.
It's eyes and beak are knitted and stitched firmly in place, as are the wings and feet.
The birds are approx. 6"/15cm tall.
Safe for children of any age, babies and toddlers would love throwing these birdies about like balls. There are no hard bits to break, they are completely hand knitted.
I hand knitted these birds using a pattern by Amanda Berry (with her kind permission). The colours have been changed to give the different types of bird.
