Metal stamping is a craft which involves each individual letter or design being individually stamped onto a chosen metal (usually aluminium) with a set of metal stamped and a hammer. It is then inked and polished. By it's very nature, there will be slight imperfections and will not be totally uniform. The back of the pieces will also show very slight marks due to metal displacement. It is not the same as engraving.
