So that you have an idea of the different looks, in the photo I have machine stitched the elephants and hand stitched the eye and ear shapes on the smaller elephants, the hearts have been left without stitching except for one which is an example of hand stitching, this is a raw edge applique and the fabric edges will loosen over time. Of course, you can do as much or as little stitching/embroidery as you wish to make this a unique piece.

Thread - ivory/cream for cover
Thread - coloured for embroidery, either machine thread or hand embroidery thread (depending on your choice)
