Living near the coast and the Axe Estuary in East Devon oystercatchers can often be seen dabbling in the muddy waters. A lovely sight.

Full description
A roomy, hand thrown, earthenware mug; ideal for tea. The red clay is covered in a layer of white slip ( a white clay) both inside and out, dipped in a pale blue slip and hand painted with tiny oystercatcher birds inspired by the seabirds at the Axe Estuary. The piece is then fired to 920 centigrade and once cooled, dipped in a clear glaze and then refired, this time to 1085 centigrade.
Approx 9cm high, 10cm diameter....perfect for tea.
