Annabel is looking for a forever home, to share adventures and picnics.
She is an individual design, machine-stitched and finished by hand, with love and attention to detail. She will travel to you with her own pillow filled with Yorkshire lavender and her own patchwork quilt. An apple tote completes the set so you can carry Annabel and her belongings comfortably wherever you wish to take her.
I made Annabel from cotton fabric and hand-embroidered her face. Her outfit is made from cotton and linen with Liberty peacock feather design underwear with sequin detailing. Her outfit is fully removable. The pinafore bib is lined with fabric matching her shirt and the whole outfit is topstitched for a professional finish.
The quilt is constructed from 3 layers – a machine pieced cotton top, Heirloom wadding, and cotton backing. I made the binding from the red spotty dog print fabric used in the quilt and this is hand -stitched on the reverse, with mitred corners. I have also blanket stitched a handmade label to the reverse of the quilt as a finishing touch.
The mini-tote bag is made from linen exterior and cotton lining with interfacing giving additional structure. This again is top-stitched for a professional finish.
Annabel is a handcrafted ragdoll rather than a toy so I'm sorry but she is not suitable for young children and I would recommend spot cleaning only.
Annabel is 36cm tall.
The quilt is 32.5cm x 36cm.
The tote is H 22cm (excluding handles) xD 6cm x W 17cm.

I have wanted to make dolls for some time and have made several to various other patterns which have been gifted to my children and their friends over the last couple of years. In October I made a prototype to my own design (pictured on my Twitter feed and Facebook page). I was happy with the finished result so have made Annabel…who I hope will be the first ragdoll for sale.
I enjoy quilting and thought it would be a nice touch to include a mini-quilt along with the lavender pillow to make her feel at home on her travels.
