The money box is approx. 67 x67 x 67mm, with two side that slide out to allow the removal of coins. It has a pine frame and is finished with a melamine lacquer made by chestnut product which states it is safe for toys. A shop in Rochester, High Street Kindly sold them every Christmas for a few years, but it is a long way to travel, so I thought I'd try them on a web shop... hope you like them! (I have a few other styles and colours so shout if you want me to put some more on the web shop)
My Grandad made me one when I was ten. I was thrilled and used it as a money box for years until it got lost in a house move. So I've made a few and now my Mum and Dad, daughters, nieces and nephews all have one, so I'm offering them out. They are not perfect yet, getting the exact tolerances is very hard, so please don't expect perfection, but they aren't bad. Getting a door that fits and slides but isn't too loose or too tight is very exacting and I'm slowly getting there, in the mean time I'm offering the ones that aren't too bad. They take a lot of time to make , so I'm sorry about the high cost, hope you enjoy owning one. (btw, I make them so that the three and five slide, but don't tell any one!)
