White wine bottle pop art lamp shade. We went for a dy trip to Brighton and my daughter saw some in a shop and asked me to make some for her. She chose her favourites for her university digs and I'm offering the rest for sale. She keeps them firmly attached to her mantle piece using blue tack underneath and has a shade so if they do get knoocked off it stops the bulb from breaking. Nice pop art table lamps, bit of fun and good recycling.
It takes a bit of nerve to make these, as every now and then as I carefully drill the hole for the electric lead in the base, they can shatter, so not for the faint hearted. It takes a bit of skills to make a wooden plug for the top that fits, with a hole for the electric cable. I've glued the wooden plug in the top with Epoxy resin. I've tested the electrics for continuity and no passage to the earth cable and made sure it works OK when plugged into the mains. BUT, as I am not a qualified Electrician, I will remove the three pin plug and it will be the responibilty of the buyer to get a competent person or a qualified electrician to check it is safe before putting the plug on and conecting it to the mains supply. (If you think about it, I'm sure you willl agree)
