It takes a bit of nerve to make these, as every now and then as I carefully drill the hole for the electric lead in the base, they can shatter, so not for the faint hearted. It takes a bit of skills to make a wooden plug for the top that fits, with a hole for the electric cable. I've glued the wooden plug in the top with Epoxy resin. I've tested the electrics for continuity and no passage to the earth cable and made sure it works OK when plugged into the mains. BUT, as I am not a qualified Electrician, I will remove the three pin plug and it will be the responibilty of the buyer to get a competent person or a qualified electrician to check it is safe before putting the plug on and conecting it to the mains supply. (If you think about it, I'm sure you willl agree)

Full description

A Galiano Bottle made into a table lamp. We were in Brighton and my daughter saw some of these in a shop and asked me to make her one. I made a few and she chose her favourites to take to her university digs. She uses blue tack to stick them firmly to a mantle piece and when one occasionally gets knocked over the lamp shade has stopped the bulb from breaking. I think the make a really nice pop art table lamp: and recycling at its best! please note they are "used" lamps, having been used by my daughter.
