NEWS!! Now featuring quilts by my group Comberton Quilters to raise money for Acorn Children's Hospice.
Comberton Quilters won 1st place in the Group Category at Festival of Quilts 2023 at the NEC with their stunning 'Cottage Garden Quilt'.
This was the first time I had done a mystery quilt and I loved the process! So much so that I am in the process of designing one myself, for a small group of beginners I know. If it works out well I will launch it on my blog. Message me for more info if you are interested in having a go.

Full description
This vibrant quilt was designed by the wonderful American quilt maker, Bonnie Hunter, of Quiltville fame. It was inspired by the lavender fields she saw on a trip to Provence and was her 'mystery quilt' project for 2016.
It is made from a variety of (quilt quality cotton) fabrics to give it that 'scrappy' look, which is so appealing. The backing is a gorgeous green floral cotton. I have quilted an original all over feathered curl design in yellow thread on my long arm machine. This adds a lovely texture and a unique look to the quilt. The wadding is a soft 80/20 cotton/polyester blend which drapes beautifully.
It measures about 69 inches square and can be machine washed and gently tumbled on a low temperature.
