A gorgeous set of two cushions which have been hand printed with a deep purple detail.

The cushion cover is soft golden silk which I have then hand printed straight onto with a deep purple using Vintage Indian Printing Blocks. I have used two different vintage blocks on these cushions. One creates a floral pattern whilst the other gives a floral border.

The cushion measures 44cm by 44cm and is a zip fastening. The polyester inner is included. I would recommend hand washing the cover because of the silk and to protect the hand printing. Although the printing has used a fabric ink and then been heat fixed, some washing machine cycles are still a bit too aggressive for a delicate print!

I love hand printing with vintage Indian printing blocks. They give a lovely rustic and authentic look to the printing. It also means that the work is unique because each print is hand done!

These fair trade silk cushion covers were already stunning plain but I thought I would love to match the golden brown colour with the deep purple to give extra intrigue to the decorative cushions.

Hope you like them just as much as I loved creating them!
