Seahorse pendant handmade in silver pewter with blue lace agate cabochon on a gemstone necklace.
This striking unique piece of jewellery has been handmade in the UK using modern lead-free pewter and a variety of natural gemstones.
I have made the pendant using the repousse method popular in the Arts and Crafts period. Using a variety of hand-tools, I have raised the seahorse design in sheet pewter, filled it and mounted it onto a rigid base. Then I have oxidised the metal and polished it to a deep rich shine.
The seahorse pendant measures 45mm x 34mm and is suspended on a silver plated bail.
The necklace is 46cm long and is made up of assorted beautiful gemstones of mother of pearl, blue lace agate, rainbow moonstone, fluorite, white agate and labradorite. It fastens with a silver plated lobster clasp. Spacer beads are non-tarnish silvered glass.
This is a fabulous statement necklace for a woman who loves something different and unique.
