I have been inspired by my travels to tropical places like Madeira and the Canary Islands, and visits to botanical greenhouses. For this piece I have particularly been inspired by the wild cacti that exist in arid and volcanic habitats, how they exist no matter what, in their mystical shapes and in the most challenging of places, like off the side of a cliff! So why not brighten up your outfit with a mysterious paddle Cactus brooch!

Opuntia Cactus brooch inspired by the wild cacti I have seen in the arid islands of the medittaranean & the volcanic Atlantic islands.
Unique brooch drawn by me, then laser cut from birch plywood. Hand painted with gloss finish.
In lush green and lemon yellow colours.
Size: Brooch 5.55 x 4.25 cm approx.
Nickel bar pin, 2.5cm in length.
