Full description

If you’re looking for an extra special Wedding gift then look no further than this traditional Celtic Wedding Goblet.

The tradition for Celtic Wedding Goblets dates back to the 17th Century. The story goes that a young man fell in love with a young woman and he carved them a goblet with two captive rings out of a single piece of wood. They toasted from the goblet on their wedding day, and every following anniversary. They believed that as long as the two rings remained intact that they’re love would blossom, a truly romantic tale.

Following the tradition, this Goblet has been turned from a single piece of Ash. The Ash itself has been sourced from the home of Welsh prince, Llywelyn Fawr at Garth Celyn, Abergwyngregyn in the heart of Snowdonia. The Goblet also comes with a scroll, re-telling the story of how the tradition began with space for the couple to sign their names. The scroll rolls are made from Ash and wild cherry also sourced from Garth Celyn.
