Fascinated by reinventing traditional shapes, my work explores how even the oldest of ceramic shapes can be inventively modernised into modern sculptures. My method portrays the journey of pieces of old-style ceramics, each ‘fighting‘ for a prominent place in a piece of modern art, with the inevitable result of being squashed, but each trying to hold on to its own dignity.
