Description
Measures approximately 14 cm diameter.
Created using traditional stained glass techniques and materials this bumblebee image has been hand painted onto light amber, antique style glass and fired in a kiln at high temperature making the image permanent and enduring.
The black line work and shading is painted onto the glass and fired, then the rich yellow enamel is applied and the glass is fired a second time, completing the painted bumblebee image.
The central glass has then been assembled and framed with a turquoise blue glass, soldered together and finished with a bronze patina.
The roundel has a stainless steel chain attached, approximately 17 cm to hanging point, and is ready for hanging in front of a window and to be viewed in all the ever changing and different lights of the day.
