Handmade block printed cotton throw with a cotton flannel filling adding a little extra weight so that the blanket is warm enough for winter but also light enough for summer use. The perfect year round accessory.
The throw is printed with a Monsoon raindrop repeat in coral pink with Indigo detail and is printed on reverse with a raindrop outline in coral pink with an occasional filled drop.
This print is inspired by the Monsoon in Rajasthan which is celebrated in the region with the festival of Teej. It is a celebration of the rain that arrives between July and lasts until September breaking the soaring dessert heat.
This item is hand block printed, a tradition that has not changed for hundreds of years.
The design is first hand carved into a number of wood blocks which are then dipped into pigment and used to stamp the design onto the fabric.
Due to the handmade process variation in the colour and print work should be expected.
