My collection of prints utilise a series of original photographs taken over several years. Each print is reproduced on thick glossy photographic paper, is sealed in a protective cellophane pouch & they are then packaged into a card-backed envelope.
I loved butterflies as a child & learning about each species; capturing them by a net, keeping them overnight in a jar & releasing them the next day. We had several purple buddleia bushes so I could watch their development from a caterpillar to a chrysalis &, in time, as a colourful adult.
This trio of photographs consists of three 5” x 5” colour square prints of common British Butterflies. These varieties are the Tortoise Shell butterfly on purple buddleia (Butterfly-bush), the Peacock butterfly on a white spirea (Snow Mound) & the Red Admiral butterfly on ivy. Butterflies love attractive, fragrant garden & wild flowers, but can be very tricky to photograph as they are so quick moving! They really do live up to their childhood nickname - flutterbies!
The title of the subject is given on the rear of the print. The logo as shown on the photograph will not be on the actual print.
