I hand dye the majority of my fabrics. To hand dye my fabrics, firstly I have to wash the fabric and dry it. Then I mix up the dyes individually and add then to the fabric separately. The dyes will merge into one another over the next 6 hours or so that I have to leave the dyes in order for them to take to the fabric. I usually do this overnight so that I am not tempted to look before they are done. I rinse out the fabric to get rid of the excess dye and then wash it again in the washing machine. Then depending on the weather is will line dry or tumble dry the fabric. It is now ready for me to work with.

Full description
This is a handmade machine stitched textile pod
Made from layers of fabric including silk and hand dyed Egyptian cotton
It is approximately 4.5" high or 11cm
It has 7 gold loops and on the end of each loop is one of my own handmade glass lampworked beads
The pod opens up slightly to store some hidden treasures within, there is a coiled piece of fabric which will move up the gold cords but will stop when it reaches the glass beads
