On the western shores of Loch Fyne, sits the beautiful town of Inveraray.
From there, It was the uniform white-washed buildings of the Old Military Road which come into view as you approach from the bridge which inspired this illustration.
As a tribute to the beautifully maintained and distinctive feature of the white buildings, the concept continues and develops onto the cars and buses and boats and birds!
Inveraray is a bustling, vibrant town in summer, and my illustration aims to capture it's colour and life during this season. Whether it's for the food, the pubs, the fishing, or the famous castle, jail or distillery, Inveraray is a picturesque and thriving village on the banks of the rugged west coast of Scotland.
I hope my illustration connects with you and everyone who has fond memories of this lovely town.
