I paint graphic-based visual art, inspired by music, film and travel. I take classic record covers, film posters and transport art as a starting point, and hand-paint everything on canvas or wood. Commissions welcome!
I've always been a massive music fan, and a love of record sleeve design goes hand in hand with this. I've always loved doing hand lettering (I also work as a sign painter and window graphics painter) so I decided to combine my two passions. I was looking through a box of old 45's and I had the sudden urge to re-interpret some of the classic design used on these record company sleeves. Parlophone used 12 different designs for their 7" single singles throughout the 60's. The design which inspired this painting was used from 1963 through to 1968. My copy of "We Can Work It Out" by The Beatles inspired this particular painting.

Full description
Hand painted canvas inspired by mid to late 60's Parlophone record company 7" single sleeve.
Acrylic paint on canvas stretched on a wooden frame measuring approx. 32inches x 8inches x 1.5inches. This painting would make a great present for any music fan and lover of classic sounds and 60's design.
Alternative sizes and styles are available on request.
