I love working in wood with a story and the history of Bog Oak fits the bill. I love the closed end pens as they are so unique. This one has a concave end this along with the wood makes it so tactile. You will find yourself sitting at your desk holding it even when not in use.

Full description
Wooden closed end fountain pen handmade in Ancient Irish Bog Oak..
This is a beautiful handmade quality fountain pen. The comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.
The pen is made from Ancient Irish Bog Oak with Gun metal coloured fittings.
Makes great Graduation, Birthday, executive or 5th Wood Anniversary, teacher or Retirement gift.
Features a medium nib. Makes a great gift or a great addition to your collection.
The pen is approximately 150mm long and 15mm at the widest wooden part including the cap. The pen accepts small 'International' ink cartridges (one is included), or a refillable ink reservoir also included. It will be shipped in a black velvet presentation box.
The Bog oak has a weight and density to rival the most highly valued tropical hardwoods, it is also the only native tree to provide black wood.
A small gift card will be sent with the item giving details of the Bog Oak.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded with ten grades of micro mesh, sealed, polished and waxed to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
