Full description
Incredibly fine and delicate, this scarf has been nuno felted on both sides using a blend of blue and purple merino wool and bleached tussah silk on a pale purple silk chiffon base fabric. The woollen layer is incredibly fine maintaining the sheer nature of the silk. Slightly thicker strands of merino wool in blue and purple shades have been added to one surface along with a scattering of tiny woollen balls. The scarf has been finished with tassels at both ends.
The resulting scarf is super soft and extremely lightweight making it ideal for wear in the spring and summer. It measures approximately 154cm x 38cm (60.5" x 15") including tassels and drapes beautifully around the neck.
The scarf is supplied wrapped in floral tissue paper with a label describing the felting process and full washing instructions. An upgrade is available as a separate listing in my shop allowing it to be packaged in a kraft card window presentation box making it an ideal gift.
Hand wash in warm water, do not machine wash or tumble dry.
