I have quite a collection of yarn leftovers to use up. These green, pink and cream shades seemed to work well together

Pretty pink rosettes form the centre of the patches on this traditional, granny squares, crocheted blanket, framed with a green and cream border.

Lovely to snuggle under as a lap blanket, use it in the car, use it on a garden bench, but, most importantly, just enjoy the cosy texture and very pretty design. 49, pretty, flower-like rosettes have been crocheted from pretty pink and apple green yarns. Each rosette has been formed into a square with two rounds of crochet in cream cotton blend, aran weight yarn and a final round of green acrylic aran yarn. A border has been worked in the green yarn, with two rows of cream and one of bright pink, and has been completed by a scalloped edging in the green yarn.

The blanket measures approximately 108 cm square.

It is worked in a mixture of yarns mainly acrylic but also including some cotton blends, pure wool and wool blends and I would recommend a cool wool cycle wash and dry flat.
