Each individual blossom is pierced out by hand using a jeweller's saw, and a lot of patience! After extensive filing and sanding to give a lovely smooth edge, the flowers are then soldered onto a silver backplate before being pierced out once again. Another round of filing and sanding takes place, before soldering on the tiny hanging loops to attach the solid silver earring posts to.
Finally the earrings are painstakingly polished, and a tiny amount of oxidation is added to give a sense of depth and to highlight the design.
As you can see they are a labour of love, but so worthwhile!

Bring a taste of the tropics into your life with these gorgeous hibiscus blossom earrings. These studs are solid silver, and the silver flowers measure approximately 10mm in diameter.
Because every single flower is hand cut from silver sheet, each one will have slight variations, but that is what makes them unique and helps them stand out from the mass produced jewellery on the high street. The blossoms are attached to Sterling silver earring posts making them comfortable and practical to wear.
