This brooch is great for adding a bit of colour to jumpers, coats, bags and hats and a fun little Mothers Day gift.
I've used a combination of techniques including freemotion machine sewing for the outline of the high heeled multi coloured silky fabric shoe onto calico. I've then put a layer of sheer irridescent fabric, pin net and lilac felt together for the backing. The layers have been hand sewn with blanket stitch around the edge with purple embroidery thread.
The shoe has a purple silk embellishment sewn to the front and a hand sewn stippled purple embroidery thread background.
The size is 4.5cm.
There is a catch brooch pin sewn to the back covered with a piece of felt for extra security.
The brooch will be wrapped in tissue paper and tied with raffia and a small hand made gift tag.
