I am temporarily opening this shop for the christmas period to sell the last few items I have in stock and some items that are reduced in price due to slight imperfections that will be visible in the each items listing photos.

All my designs try and achieve a unique, simplistic aesthetic based on preconceived proportions from the wood i find at my local woodyard. I wanted to create a clock that is modern and provides a personal touch via bold colour options, wood choices, size and aesthetics. Versatility is important so the chosen dimensions mean it is just as effective and practical on a bedside table or sideboard, providing a clear view of the time via colourful hands and inlaid wood sections as the face. Beech wood is used due to its light colour against the dark Walnut wood and its sustainably forested credentials. An attractive finish can easily be obtained with minimal involvement via machines and finishing products.

Inspired by the other clocks i design and make, most notably the Walnut and Ash wood Wall Clock, this handmade Blockclock uses sustainably sourced Beech wood and American Walnut wood to great effect. Creating a modern inspired, minimalist clock for your desk, sidetable or bedside.
An inlaid circle of American Black Walnut represents the minimalist face of this clock. The accompanying metal gold coloured hands thus pass in front of this inlaid section to register a clear, contemporary and easily readable time.
Each clock measures 135mm square by 35mm in depth.
A battery operated silent quartz clock mechanism completes the design.
Each clock is finished with several coats of danish oil to protect the wood, enhance the natural grain patterns of the two woods and provide a long lasting finish.
Each clock is handmade so imperfections and surface defects could be visible due to the nature of the wood. But this only adds to the uniqueness of this striking clock.
