My inspiration for these large and chunky minimalist stud earrings is the fossil ammonites and nautili that are found on the Jurassic Coast where I grew up. Sometimes there are so many entrapped within the rock that it seems made of nothing but shells.

Full description
Chunky spiral stud earrings that can be worn either way up. Each of these 12 mm x 16 mm (1/2" x 5/8") sterling silver studs were hand forged by me at my home in West Sussex. The process of forging involves repeated hammering and heating of the metal to achieve the desired shape, rather than simply casting or cutting sheet metal. It is a labour intensive process, so very few pieces are produced this way by large manufacturers. These shell shaped earrings are fastened by a stud and butterfly fastening at the rear to keep them secure and come neatly packaged in their own gift box.
