This was one of those projects when you squirrel away items knowing they will marry together beautifully to make a project. I was just waiting for that last component, which turned out to be the vintage brooch which I recently found in my favourite emporium in Dorset. I now had no excuse not to get on and create the bag and I am pleased as punch with the outcome.

Full description
This brocade handbag in shades of chocolate would make a fun accessory to your winter wardrobe. Decorated with cream french lace and a bow and rosette fashioned from a chocolate box ribbon it is finished off with a vintage filigree flower brooch with a shiny stone centre. The stiff wired handle is made of black, clear and gold coloured beads and the bag is fastened with a cream rickrack loop and vintage button. The lining is of a taffeta style fabric in shades of cream, gold and brown and is hand stitched to the bag. The bag bottom is stiffened to give it strength.
The matching coin purse has french lace and a ribbon rosette with a vintage button centre and is roomy enough for your change and a credit card.
Both items have my initial and year of creation embroidered within the linings so you know that you have a Made in the Temple original.
