Full description
This beige coloured silk chiffon scarf has had stripes of various shades of brown merino wool nuno felted to both sides. Gaps between the stripes allow the chiffon to show through. Nuno felting causes the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it. Shrinkage of the wool fibres during the felting process gives a gathered effect to the silk chiffon as illustrated in the fourth photograph.
The scarf measures approximately 132cm x 40cm (52" x 16"). It is ideal for draping around the shoulders as a fabulous accessory to any outfit.
The scarf is provided packaged in a kraft card window presentation box, labelled with information about the nuno felting process and washing instructions, making it an ideal gift.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while damp and press if required with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
