I originally made these hats for my two daughters, and we literally can't leave the house without someone commenting on how much they like the girls' hats, so I decided I had to write the pattern up so others can make their own! Of course I also had to scale it up to adult size (so, you know, we can all play pixies).

CROCHET PATTERN (PDF): ELF HAT
Crochet a little magic into the everyday with this pattern for a quirky winter hat. As well as being lovely, warm and snuggly - just perfect for those crisp winter days - this hat looks like it's straight out of a fairy tale: something that an elf or a pixie might wear for a walk in the enchanted woods.
The pattern includes instructions for three different sizes - from child to adult - as well as guidance on adjusting the size and ensuring the perfect fit.
This pattern is suitable for the intermediate crocheter. The instructions use UK crochet terminology, and the stitches you will need to know are: double crochet, chain stitch, slip stitch, half treble crochet, front post treble crochet, decrease (dc 2 together).
The pattern is supplied as a pdf file. Please provide an e-mail address when placing your order, and allow 48 hours for delivery.
If you have any problems with the pattern, please contact me - contact details are on the pattern sheet - and I will do my best to help.
(You are welcome to use this pattern for both personal use and to make items to sell, but please credit The Little Crochet Cafe for the design and link back to my shop. Please do not sell or distribute the pattern itself. Thank you.)
