Full description
A quirky pet bed, made for a handbag sized dog or small cat.
This quirky pet bed has been made from a 1960s vanity case.
It is gently curved at the corners, and wider at the back than the front.
The measurements are: length at back - 13 inches (33cm)
length at front - 11 inches (28cm)
length at sides - 11 - 13 inches, front to back. (28cm - 33cm)
It has been lined with a red and white gingham cotton, and backed with a layer of cotton wadding.
The base cushion and smaller accent pillow have been made from a floral cotton.
They have removable covers, for ease of cleaning.
(Spot clean, gentle handwash or specialist dry clean)
The silver bone shaped cushion has a fixed cover, and has been made from a crushed velvet fabric.
I love the history of vintage cases.
This sixties vanity case is in very good vintage condition.
Ther are a few light marks to the outside of the case, but this is to be expected of an item of this age, and add to its vintage charm.
Please note: As the case has been lined and gently padded, it is now a decorative feature of the ped bed.
As such, it will no longer close completely, as this would damage the padded lining.
