At Popinjay, I rescue tatty and unloved books, and turn them into something new and lovely. This beautiful Victorian book had seen better days when I found it. Now I have made it into a great hollow book for you. I managed to gather some antique papers to line it with, and have added an reclaimed from other Victorian books. I enjoyed reusing such old materials to make this one, and the am really pleased with the final result.

Full description
At Popinjay, I rescue tatty and unloved books, and turn them into something new and lovely. This is a fantastic antique book, from approximately 1890, which I have made into a beautiful hollow book for you.
This lovely binding has been wrapped a handmade tray, and the interior has been lined with original antique papers illustrations. The book measures approximately 25 cm x 18 cm x 4 cm, with an interior of approximately 23.5 cm x 15 cm x 3 cm.
This will make a beautiful ornament and handy storage box for tiny things. Why nor fill it with surprises for an alternative gift?
As with all vintage/antique items, this may show signs of wear such as scratches, creases etc... All these just add to the character and the authenticity of the piece.
