Hares are amazing creatures. I watch them across the fields and I have so much respect for them. Sometimes I go for night walks on a starlit night, the magic is complete when I see a solitary hare running across the hill whilst a full moon rises.
There is also an Indian tale about the hare and the moon. It is said the hare was about to sacrifice herself to let a begger eat her by throwing herself into the fire, when a god took pity on the hare and rescued her and placed her on the moon. If you look very hard you can see the hare on the moon.
