I have always loved the 'Cat In The Hat' books by Dr Seuss, not only for the rhymes and stories but also for the illustrations of crooked, fantasy houses. I also love ancient buildings, especially castles, so when I made this fairy house, I wanted to create that kind of feeling...hopefully the fairies and elves will like it too!
This fairy house is made with love and sent to you from my ceramics studio in Taff's Well, in the heart of south Wales

Full description
This lovely fairy house is packed with miniature detail that will enhance any part of your garden or could be a talking point in your home. It would make a unique gift for a friend, family or yourself.
The intricate modelling shows a tall plant with small pink flowers climbing up the textured wall; three mushrooms are growing against the wall and a potted plant sits on the spiral staircase. Can you spot the four colourful butterflies, resting on the wall?
If you place this outdoors, you can put it a the bottom of the garden to attract the fairies and elves, but even better to place it near your house where you can see it and enjoy it yourself.
The house is made from durable stoneware clay, glazed and fired to a high temperature which makes it completely weather-proof, whatever the weather and it can be left in the garden all year round. A small tealight candle could also be placed underneath the house which will shine through the windows, or an incense cone can be lit, to perfume the air.
The fairy house measures 30cm from the ground to the top of the roof and 9cm across the base.
