Item details

A bespoke painting in pastels of your pet. The painting will be a view of the whole body of the pet and will be supplied ready mounted. The outer dimensions of the whole piece (including the mount) will be 16" x 12" (40cm x 30cm)

Simply email me with photos of the pet and with any preferences you may have and I will paint a portrait accordingly. I can email advice on how to take the best photos of your pet if you wish. Each painting takes around 3 weeks (depending on my workload). When the painting is completed, I will email a photo of the finished work for your approval.

Please note that the painting I have shown here on Folksy is just an example of my work. You would actually be purchasing your own bespoke painting.

The portrait will be sealed in a cellophane envelope and posted in a double-wall cardboard wrap package.

A signature will be required on delivery.

I painted as a hobby for many years. When I lost my beloved dog Lucy, I decided to preserve her memory by producing a portrait - capturing a happy image from a favourite walk we shared. It was admired by family and friends and I was asked to paint a portrait of a friend’s dog- from there it snowballed and I have been painting commissions since.
In 2011, that original portrait of Lucy was a winner in a competition run by the Leisure Painter magazine and was included in an exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.
