This glass Christmas tree was fused by me in my studio. The glass was heated up to around 790 degrees celsius in a small glass fusing kiln and was then brought to annealing temperature to make it strong. This whole process takes over 10 hours to complete for each tree. This would make a great gift or stocking filler or decoration for the Christmas tree.
Each tree is made from sparkly green aventurine glass base and red and yellow opaque decorations, including a focal millefiori dot. They are approximately 9cm high and are tied with red ribbon. They can be hung from a tree or used as a suncatcher. Sold singly.
Not suitable for small children - these are made from real glass and need to be treated with respect - they may have sharp edges if broken. They are, however, made from thick annealed glass so are fairly robust for everyday use.
