Full description
A FINE PIECE OF BURR OAK TURNED GREEN, LEFT TO DRY, AND THEN SANDED BY HAND. I DID THIS TO SHOW THE MOVEMENT WOOD GOES THROUGH DURING THE DRYING PROCESS AND ALSO THE RUSTIC LOOK, I THOUGHT TO ENHANCE THE PIECE. AT THE CENTRE AN INTEGRAL NUTCRACKER, THIS WITH WOODEN THREAD IN ASH AND WALNUT TOP. THE BOWL ITSELF IS 12''WIDE AND 3''DEEP, IS CHUNKY AND FINISHED WITH FOODSAFE OIL.
