Item details

This is a linocut made for the launch of the Great British Bee Count, in partnership with the Friends of the Earth.

This cause is very close to my heart and I have been involved with local charities to promote an awareness and understanding of the significance of Bees in our lives.

I wanted to create a design that demonstrated, first, the huge diversity of bees in Britain, something which many are not aware of, and second, the role of these humble creatures in building Britain.
