The Kimono silk fabric is wonderfully soft but quite strong. It is cut from a vintage bolt of Kimono silk which was never used. The silk fabric was originally meant for a Furisode Kimono, which is a very formal garment for unmarried girls and has very long flowing sleeves.
The phoenix is flying over a pink and cream fantasy landscape of bright bold flowers and swirling waters. All outlined in the gold and silver metallic paint.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

IMPORTANT:
Unfortunately this particular bolt of vintage kimono silk has not stood the test of time as well as some of my other silks. There are a few age spots in one or two places and some small dots of overspill from the gold and silver metallic paints.
However because this pattern is so wonderful I do not feel that they detract from the finished product. In view of these slight imperfections I am selling book covers made from this fabric at a lower price than normal.
CLEANING:
Spot clean only.
Lay flat to dry away from direct heat.
Light press with warm iron if necessary, but use a pressing cloth.
Do NOT allow the iron to come into contact with the gold highlights.
Please do NOT machine wash or machine dry.
