Item details

A classic piece of furniture which was once common in every home. Beautiful and simple in design, perfct for a multitude of uses around the home and nicely sized for children.

Made in my workshop in Arbroath on the east coast of Scotland from oak felled a stone's throw away in Fife. The maple crossbar and contrasting Rengas wedges sit together very nicely with the generous oak frame. The warm tones and subtle textures of the timber with the satisfying touch only wood can give make this a beautiful little object.

Finished in a natural wax to preserve the surface of the timber. The stool measures 40cm x 20cm x 28cm high.

Classic household furniture and beautiful, solid natural materials. I sourced all of the timber from as close to home as possible, from the Perthshire glens or forests of Fife.
