A reminder of the Spring and Summer to keep all year round. I enjoy making this brooch design and each one develops its own unique character as the silver flowers and leaves grow under my torch and hammer.

Full description
Fold formed and hammer textured this handmade brooch is made of sterling silver. The flower shape was cut with a saw from silver sheet and the leaves were sawn and filed to shape after hammering on a steel block. The fastening is secured with a steel pin and a safety catch. The brooch has been patinated to bring out the detail in the foliage.
The point of the pin has been shaped like a bullet to push the threads aside instead of cutting through them. At less than 6 grams this brooch wont weigh down on the fabric of your clothes and would look very nice worn in the neckline of a crisp shirt or on your favourite Cashmere jumper or scarf or wear it on your hat or hairband..
The brooch measures 45mm by 20mm and will be nicely packaged ready for giving as a gift.
