At Popinjay, I rescue tatty and unloved books, and turn them into something new and lovely. I just love these pictorial bindings. They are so stylish. But such books are not much read anymore, which is why they often turn up in my mixed boxes of book. I really like the colours on this one - the shades of blue are very fitting with modern decor.

Full description
This fantastic binding has been wrapped around a hand-made tray and the inside has been carefully lined with coordinated papers and an original illustration. It measures approximately 19 cm x 13.5 cm x 5 cm, with an interior measuring approximately 17 cm x 10.5 cm x 4 cm. This will make a beautiful ornament and handy storage box for tiny things. Why nor fill it with surprises for an alternative gift?
As with all vintage items, this may show signs of wear such as scratches, creases etc... All these just add to the character and the authenticity of the piece.
