At Popinjay, I rescue tatty and unloved books, and turn them into something new and lovely. When I found this book, I fell in love! Even though it had most of its pages missing, it was still a thing of beauty and I just had to breathe new life into it.

Full description
This is an ornate cloth bound antique book which I have made into a beautiful hollow book for you. This will make a beautiful ornament and handy storage box for tiny things. Why not fill it with surprises for an alternative gift?
This fantastic binding has been wrapped around a hand-made tray and the inside has been carefully lined with coordinated papers and an illustration. It measures approximately 19.5 cm x 14 cm x 3 cm externally, with the interior measuring approximately 18 cm x 11 cm x 2.5 cm.
As with all vintage items, this may show signs of wear such as scratches, creases etc... All these just add to the character and the authenticity of the piece.
