Lapis Lazuli is one of my favourite gemstones, ever since I read a book in my teens where the main character had a Lapis ring. Add to that, my favourite colour at the moment is blue so it was inevitable really!
I also love big pendants, ones that make a statement.
This pendant measures approx 47mm by 35mm.
If you are familiar with Lapis you will know it has gold flecks within the stone.
I used 6mm round lapis beads and 4mm cubes.
To break up the blue a little I used tibetan silver rondelles in between the 6mm beads.
I added a textured Silver tone cable chain and lobster fastening to finish it off.
The necklace measures approx 18 inches long not including the lobster clasp fastening. I can adjust the length on request for no extra charge by adding an extender chain.
The pendant and bail measures approx 60mm together.
It is quite a heavy necklace but with the flat side of the pendant it feels nice against skin.
It has a bohemian air to it, which I love!
