Full description
Handcrafted pure Scottish wool crochet Mill Shawl. Warm over the shoulders wool shawl from CrochetMushroom. Wild and rugged pure wool knitwear like the landscape it came from. Gift boxed in my new CrochetMushroom boxes!
Crochet Mushroom's studio is based in a little hamlet near the banks of the River Tay in North East Fife, Scotland. I am an independent textile artist. My work is produced using Harris Scottish Tweed aran wool custom spun on the Isle of Harris, and a range of very unusual organic peace silks handspun by women's co-operatives in India. These silk yarns are from my own range of inspirational ethical art yarns
My aim is to work with traditional crochet techniques to produce unique and imaginative designs innovating and creating links between fashion and art, focusing on silhouette and contrast. I also loves a bit of exaggerated knitwear.
Designs are exclusive, contemporary and handmade in Scotland. Inspired by fusing cultures, northern Scottish landscapes and coastlines, and the love of a unique and rare yarn. I now sell all over the world from Orkney in Northern Scotland to Israel, Japan and the United States.
