Full description
This clock face has been made by mounting a piece of nuno felt onto a plywood base. The nuno felt has been made by laying a very fine layer of merino wool in shades of blue over a silk chiffon fabric. This is then worked with soap, water and elbow grease to force the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it. The result is a lovely light fabric with a marbled effect.
The clock is fitted with a quartz clock movement and has gold coloured hands and hour divisions. The reverse of the clock has been covered with white commercial felt and it measures approximately 12.5cm (5") in diameter.
An acrylic stand has been added allowing the clock to be free standing on a desk top, dresser or sideboard. If preferred this can be removed prior to shipping allowing the clock to be wall mounted using the integral wall hanger. Please message me if this is required.
The clock requires an AA battery which is not included due to postage regulations.
