A beautifully soft and lightweight nuno felted scarf.
Very fine layers of super soft merino wool in a blend of pinks and purples have been nuno felted to both sides of a pink silk chiffon base material to produce this scarf. The nuno felting process causes the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it. The scarf measures approximately 130cm x 40cm (51" x 16") and has been designed to drape around the neck or shoulders as an accessory rather than as a wrap around scarf. However, the use of all natural materials (wool and silk) means that this scarf will provide additional warmth in winter while remaining cool in summer.
The result is a super soft, sheer and amazingly lightweight scarf which drapes beautifully. The nuno felting allows the wool layers to be very fine with the underlying silk providing the strength of the material.
A lovely gift for any occasion, the scarf is supplied in a gift box as shown in the final photograph.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring. roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet and press with a cool (wool/silk setting) iron.
