applique and freehand embroidered zombie penguin fabric passport cover.

these lumbering bikini-clad zombie penguins can’t wait to go on their holidays!
the penguins are made from corpse blue irish linen and cotton fabrics, & wear this years’ must-have bikinis…even though the hand embroidered snow is coming down.
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto cotton calico, and the intricate details drawn on freehand, with free motion embroidery.
eyeballs, and the falling snow, are hand embroidered.
this cover is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine.
everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.
measuring 14cm x 10cm, this passport cover is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed.
the seams are overlocked and topstitched and the cover is stiffened with vilene.
