Full description
Hand cast in my home workshop, this solid sterling silver pendant has been hand crafted, using a large vintage brass knot button.
15.61g of solid silver in this necklace.
Pressing the button into delft clay - a sand like casting medium, creates a detailed and exact copy of the original form. Pouring sterling silver into the mould, creates the semi finished piece. After much filing and polishing by hand, the pendant is finished with a sterling silver bail before being sent to the London Assay Office for hall marking.
The pendant has been suspended on a strong sterling silver open curb chain which measures 18 inches in length and is stamped 925 for sterling silver. The pendant also bears my unique makers mark.
The pendant measures 23 x 23 mm and is 7mm thick at the highest point. A substantial piece.
This is a unique, one of a kind pendant. If you would like a similar item cast in gold, please ask for details.
